Thank you for supporting our fundraiser!
P.E.O. is an international philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women, educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
P.E.O. was founded on January 21, 1869 by seven students from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. On March 23, 1906 the Rawlins chapter was founded by Effie Murchison who came to Wyoming from an Iowa chapter. In 1927 P.E.O. established Cottey College, a fully accredited liberal arts college for women in Nevada, Missouri. Since establishment, Cottey College has graduated approximately 8,700 women from all 50 states, 4 provinces and from more than 85 countries.
P.E.O. established projects to help women achieve their educational goals. Some of those programs are based on need, others on merit. Through P.E.O.’s projects, our sisterhood has given more than $248.5 million in financial assistance to 93,136 recipients!
Chapter A not only helps fund P.E.O. projects internationally but provides scholarship money for women locally. Chapter A alone has donated more than $22,000 to P.E.O. projects and over $15,000 to Wyoming women. Our current fundraiser is the sale of fair-trade, shade-grown, organic coffee.
The coffee is produced by Nectar of Life Coffee Company which believes in preserving the environment through sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices. Our chapter celebrates 4 flavors.
All coffees are fairly traded and certified both organic and Kosher. The coffee is sold in packs of 3 with FREE SHIPPING!
